Refund policy
RETURNS POLICY
You may return a product if:
the product you received was different to the one you ordered
· the product arrived damaged from transit (Note: As per our Terms of Use, risk passes to you once your products are posted. However, following assessment of the circumstances surrounding the damage to the product with the postal or courier company, we may accept returns at our sole discretion).
· the product is not as described as per the Terms and Conditions – product condition section
If your return does not meet any of the above conditions but you would still like to return the product, please contact us directly at returns@oakmontbooks.com and we can advise further.
For returns due to change of mind, please refer to our Terms of Use under “Cancellation of orders” to verify if you are eligible to apply for a return of purchase, before applying.
If you believe your return does meet any of the above, please send a photo of the product (including any visible defects or damage (if applicable) and the invoice/receipt to this email address returns@oakmontbooks.com. Please include your name and the reasons for return.
We will review your returns request and inform you of the outcome within 5 business days. If we accept your return, you will receive instructions via email on how to return the item.
Please note that only returns requests that have been accepted in writing by us can be returned.
You must not return your product to Oakmont Books at your own initiative without first having contacted us as per this policy. Your returns request requires acceptance in writing by us before sending your product/s to us.
Any product you send to us without first contacting and receiving our acceptance in writing of your returns request will be treated as forfeited to us and title in the product/s shall pass to Oakmont Books.
Accepted returns will receive a full refund when we receive the returned product/s. All original postage charges will also be refunded and all costs for return shipment will be covered by Oakmont Books once the return is accepted by us
Returned products may be exchanged for another item that is the same as the product returned, however due to the nature of our business selling unique, rare, used and hard to find books, a full refund may be the only practical option as another same or similar item may not be available.
We do not take any responsibility or liability for products lost in transit whilst being returned.
We may amend this policy from time to time at our sole discretion. All amendments will be effective immediately upon publishing on our website. Please check back from time to time to review our Returns Policy.
